In today’s episode, Mary Scott and Rachel sit down and talk about navigating social media from a Biblical perspective. The challenges and distractions that come with it and also the pure purpose of it. Thanks for joining us!

Indicators that something is off with your motivation for posting or that there is a deeper issue going on with your phone + social media

  • You step away from your phone after a post but its all you can think about

  • You notice that both every time you and your spouse or your friends try to spend time together but end up on your phones

  • You notice that the time you spend on social is affecting your heart / your words / and your attitude

  • You run to scrolling to numb something deeper happening inside that you don’t want to deal with

1. Post something and don’t check your post for a few hours.

2. Pray for the person you are most jealous of. Pray for their success, for their audience to grow, for their words to touch people, because THERE IS ROOM FOR EVERYONE. Especially in Ministry.

3. CELEBRATE other people genuinely.

4. Social Media Free Hours

5. “Why am I posting what I’m posting?” Am I presenting a false narrative that others will consider as my reality?
