About this Episode:
In this episode, Rachel sits down with Erin and Liz, two besties that have been through it all. From postpartum depression, breast cancer and other difficult circumstances, these ladies (plus, their other BFF Heatherly) have a lot to share when it comes to showing up. If you’re walking with someone through a hardship, or you’re walking through something difficult yourself, this episode is for you! Erin and Liz nudge you, give practical ways to show up for friends, and how to speak truth into their life when it may not seem like “the best time” to do so.

Meet Liz:
“My name is Liz McCary and I am 34 years old and live in Columbia, South Carolina with my husband and chocolate lab. I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina – but the best part is this is where I met my best friends Erin and Heatherly. Little did we know that life was going to throw us some pretty scary times. At the age of 33 years old I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. The good news is after chemotherapy, radiation and multiple surgeries there is no evidence of disease in my body. However, there currently is no cure for stage 4 metastatic breast cancer so I fight the good fight each day. Although life has given us challenges we have leaned on each other and haven’t given in to the victim mentality – we push forward and not only do we come back we grew from our challenges.”
Meet Erin:
“I’m 33 years old, born and raised in Prosperity, SC. I graduated from the University of South Carolina and live in Columbia, SC with my husband and little boy. I’m a stay at home mom and loving all of the adventures that come with toddler life. I love my family and friends, the outdoors, live music, and all the CrossFit things.”
