About this Episode:
In this episode, Rachel and Heather have a conversation about including others that may look different than us. That’s right, they crack lots of stereotypic, norms and molds that culture and society have put on people (specifically those that look different or have “a disability”). Heather talks through Jesus’s strategy when it came to people that acted differently, looked different and spoke differently and what we can learn from watching him break society’s standards for who we allow into our circles. Not quite sure if you’re doing “inclusion” right or not sure what your next step to inclusion is? Listen in!
As an author of “Scoot Over and Make Some Room,” a mom of 3 adopted children, a narrative shifter and all around-rockstar, we have a few things to learn from this inspiring and insightful episode with Heather Avis.
