hello,

Ready to Start that Podcast of Yours?

stay tuned!

Let's take a swing at this together! I'm spilling all of the secrets in my course!

Okay mama, I think this is the most popular question I get: “what stroller situation do you recommend?” And while everyone’s situation and needs are different, this is what I find recommending most of my friends so I figured I’d give you the low down, too!

For cost efficiency, logistics and overall ease (and aesthetically pleasing purposes), here’s what we went with:

+ the Doona car seat and stroller

+ the mockingbird single to double stroller

Here’s why:

The Doona makes a great car seat for infants and it is able to be extended into a short stroller for quick errands and travel! I used this as our stroller in airports, on trips and more! It comes with a base but you can also use a seatbelt to install if you’re traveling without your base.

I *do not* recommend the Doona as your main stroller even though it is considered a “stroller.” There’s no storage, it’s a bumpy ride if you’re on the road and doesn’t have other stroller capabilities. However, it’s perfect for running into a store really quickly, traveling where you need to break it down quickly and more! Seriously, you can break down the stroller into the car seat while baby is still inside in 8 seconds…. It’s wonderful!!

For our main stroller, we had our eye on the Vista stroller by UppaBaby. It’s chic and sleek, breaks down easily, has multiple ways you can have baby inside, and is a smooth ride. However, with the price of the Doona and the price of the Vista being at the top of our budget, we needed to get one or the other. That’s when I started researching for something similar to the Vista and came across the Mockingbird. It’s oddly similar, has a great ride, easy to break down, more storage than the Vista, lots of color and pattern options and has a single to double option so it can grow with our family. The Mockingbird was it! PLUS! It’s more than half of the price as the Vista  no brainer! We use our Mockingbird stroller for walks around the neighborhood, hikes, parks, airport now that he’s older, and more! It fits in the back of a standard car which is great!

This means, for us, we could purchase the Doona (our dream car seat) and the Mockingbird with the accessories we wanted for less than just the Vista stroller costs!

I hope this helps you make your decision! Please let me know if you have any questions in the comments and I’ll answer and try and help!
