Good news isn’t as good if you don’t know the bad news that could be if it weren’t for the good news. (!!!!)

After tasting your favorite dessert, chances are, you wouldn’t want to choose to eat an ice cube instead. No way! >
Give me blackberry cobbler + ice cream all day, everyday!
The sad truth is: a lot of us settle for the “ice cube life” because we haven’t experienced the sweetness and fullness of our favorite rich dessert.
Similarly, experiencing full joy, an unleashed grace for myself and others and a craving for justice wouldn’t be the same if I hadn’t experienced heartbreak, the disgust of my own sin or the consequences of injustice.
Jesus is getting sweeter to me because I’m growing more (righteously) bitter to things of this world.
Soooo let’s trade the mediocre type of life for the rich treat he’s prepared for us by:
1. Seeking our hearts to find the places we’ve settled, found poor habits or have sin we’ve tried to justify.
2. Setting aside some moments for the Holy Spirit to remind us of the inheritance we have in Christ.
3. Turning away, asking for accountability and living a John 10:10 life.
