Chapter 1: The Road Trip Chronicles
Our journey began with the anticipation of a road trip that promised unforgettable memories. Rachel, ever the enthusiastic driver, took the wheel with her quirky driving habits. Abby, in the passenger seat, served as the co-pilot and official DJ. But little did we know, this trip would be filled with surprises, including an unexpected encounter with the local police. You won’t want to miss our hilarious retelling of this incident!
Chapter 2: The LO Sister Conference Unveiled
Once we arrived at the LO Sister Conference, we were blown away by the vibrant atmosphere and the incredible lineup of speakers. The conference was packed with inspirational talks, workshops, and breakout sessions, and we were ready to soak it all in.
Chapter 3: Speaker Highlights
In this chapter, we delve into the heart of the conference—the speakers! We had the privilege of hearing from some incredible women who left us feeling empowered and enlightened.
Sadie Robertson: Sadie’s talk on finding purpose in life left a lasting impact on both of us. She talked through the story in Exodus when the Israelites were told to camp next to the Red Sea and felt “stuck.” The Egyptians were coming after them and they were stuck between a literal rock and a hard place not knowing the miracle God was about to preform – splitting the sea so they could walk right through it! Life is like this for us, too. God has called us to where we are on purpose and it’s our job to trust Him, be obedient and stand firm.
Dawn Chere Wilkerson: Dawn’s message about God being a good father with Good hands (from Isaiah 64:8) was so precious to us. She introduced the idea that pressure isn’t a bad thing – it’s what keeps this world spinning, it’s what is applied to wounds to stop the bleeding. Trusting the Good Hand and the pressure that sometimes comes with it is so crucial!
Christine Caine: Christine’s powerful opener from Luke 17 started off our weekend so incredibly! She talked through the importance of looking ahead and not dwelling on the past! Something we all need to hear!
Chapter 4: Breakout Sessions
At the LO Sister Conference, we also attended some amazing breakout sessions that provided practical insights and valuable wisdom. Rachel attended the “Podcast, Writing, and Media” session and it was amazing!!
She had the opportunity to connect with two podcasting giants, Annie F. Downs and Heather Thompson Day. Their advice on content creation, storytelling, and building an engaged audience left Rachel feeling inspired and ready to take y’all to the next level with Real Talk!
Chapter 5: Friendships and Laughter
Beyond the conference itself, this weekend was a testament to the power of friendship. We shared countless laughs, inside jokes, and heart-to-heart conversations. Whether it was Rachel’s quirks behind the wheel or Abby’s funny word mix-ups, our friendship shone through in every moment.
Our weekend trip to the LO Sister Conference in Monroe, LA, was a whirlwind of laughter, inspiration, and unforgettable memories. COME WITH US NEXT YEAR!
